These terms govern the CastMyMind website and companion mobile app, operated by CastMyMind, based in the United Kingdom. Contact: ggillon@gmail.com. Please read these terms before creating an account or using the service. If you do not agree, do not use CastMyMind.
For ages 13 and over. Users under 18 need a parent or guardian’s permission. CastMyMind creates AI-generated research, conversations and synthetic audio. Outputs may be inaccurate or incomplete and are not medical, legal, financial or other professional advice. Review sources and use your own judgement.
1. Service and eligibility
CastMyMind helps you research topics, review sources and uploaded text, generate AI-hosted audio casts, organise a library, listen on the web or companion app, and use features such as transcripts, questions, recommendations, scheduled briefings and private RSS. Features depend on provider availability and may change.
You must be at least 13 and meet any higher minimum age required by the laws where you live. If you are under 18, you must have a parent or legal guardian’s permission to use CastMyMind; they should review these terms and the Privacy Policy with you. You must also have their permission before making paid purchases. If acting for an organisation, you must have authority to accept on its behalf. CastMyMind is intended for general-audience learning and discussion, not for children under 13 or for emergency, safety-critical or regulated professional decisions.
2. Your account and security
Provide accurate account information, keep access credentials secure and notify us of suspected unauthorised access. Do not share accounts to bypass restrictions or impersonate another person. Google sign-in is an authentication method, not a requirement to grant access to Gmail or other Google content.
You are responsible for activity you authorise and for deciding which documents and prompts to submit. Private RSS URLs and temporary audio links grant access to their holders; treat them as confidential. Third-party podcast players may retain copies outside CastMyMind's control.
Generation credits
Each new account receives 1,000 welcome credits once; accounts existing when credits were introduced receive the same one-time grant. Generation consumes 2 credits per US cent of estimated provider cost, based on reported usage and published standard paid rates, without account-wide free allowances. Fractional credits are retained. Research, writing, audio generation, AI source extraction, follow-up answers and newly generated voice previews use credits. Listening and cached previews do not. Provider work already performed remains charged if a later step fails; contact support about discrepancies. A positive balance is required to start new generation, but an admitted podcast may finish with a negative balance. A negative credit balance is a service-usage balance, not a monetary debt or permission to charge your payment method. Purchased credits first offset any negative balance. Credits are for service usage and are not redeemable for cash, subject to your statutory refund rights. Published provider pricing may change; estimated costs are not a reconciliation of the provider's invoice.
3. Acceptable use
You must not:
Use the service unlawfully, infringe intellectual property or privacy rights, or upload information you are not entitled to process and share.
Submit passwords, financial account credentials, highly sensitive personal information, or confidential material that should not be sent to an AI provider.
Create fraud, deceptive impersonation, harassment, exploitation or harmful content, or present synthetic hosts as real people making genuine endorsements.
Bypass authentication, safety controls, rate limits or access restrictions; introduce malware; attack the service; or access another user's data.
Use automated collection, scraping or bulk redistribution of search-grounded material contrary to the source/provider's terms, or use the service to train a competing model in breach of provider restrictions.
Use outputs as clinical advice, an emergency service or the sole basis for consequential decisions.
You retain any rights you hold in your prompts, notes and uploads. You grant CastMyMind the limited permission needed to host, copy, process, transmit and transform that material through service providers to provide the features you request. That permission lasts only as needed to provide the service and for lawful retention described in the Privacy Policy; it is not permission to sell your private content.
You confirm you have the rights and lawful basis to submit content, including any personal data about others. Do not upload copyrighted works unless your use is authorised or otherwise permitted by law.
To the extent we hold transferable rights in AI outputs generated for you, you may use those outputs subject to these terms, applicable law and third-party rights. We do not guarantee that AI output is unique, copyrightable, non-infringing, complete, current or accurate. Similar outputs may be generated for others. Source articles, search links and third-party material remain subject to their owners' rights.
Check facts and citations before relying on or distributing an output, and disclose synthetic generation where appropriate or legally required. A source link does not imply endorsement or permission to reproduce that source. We retain rights in our brand, software and service design.
5. Privacy and third parties
The Privacy Policy explains personal-data processing, Google identity data, AI providers, cookies, retention and privacy requests. Creating a podcast sends relevant submitted content to Google Gemini and, when used, Google Search grounding. Your information may also be processed by Clerk and Replit to operate the service.
External source sites, Google, app distribution services and podcast players have their own terms. We do not control their availability, content or independent data handling. We are not affiliated with or endorsed by a source merely because it appears in a cast.
6. Purchases, availability and changes to features
Credit packs are one-time purchases through Whop's hosted checkout: 500 credits for US$5, 1,500 for US$15 or 5,000 for US$50, plus applicable taxes and any fees disclosed at checkout. Check the final total before paying. There is no recurring subscription or automatic top-up. Whop processes payment details under its terms and privacy policy; CastMyMind does not collect card details.
Credits are added to the signed-in CastMyMind account that started checkout only after server-side verification. Verification can take time, including for delayed payments; returning from checkout alone does not prove payment. If you paid but credits are missing, check the purchase status in Buy credits or contact support with your purchase reference. Do not pay again solely because verification is pending.
For billing errors, cancellation or refund requests, contact ggillon@gmail.com or use Whop's payment support. Your statutory cancellation, digital-content and refund rights remain unaffected. These terms do not waive a cancellation right automatically on purchase. Verified refunds reverse the corresponding proportion of purchased credits; payment disputes may temporarily reverse credits pending resolution. Reversals can make your balance negative if credits were already used, but do not authorise further charges.
Generation depends on external providers, quotas, internet access and technical limits. We do not promise uninterrupted service, a specific generation time or duration, permanent availability of every feature, or flawless playback on every third-party player. We may maintain, limit or change features and will provide appropriate notice where required. Keep copies of important content; CastMyMind is not an archival backup service.
7. Ending use, suspension and deletion
You may stop using the service at any time. You can delete episodes in the web studio. For full account deletion, associated-content deletion or a data copy, email ggillon@gmail.com. Identity verification may be needed. Revoking Google access alone does not delete the CastMyMind library. Retention limits, backups and legal exceptions are described in the Privacy Policy.
We may restrict or suspend access where reasonably necessary to address security risks, unlawful activity, material breaches, provider requirements or legal obligations. Where practical and lawful we will explain the reason and allow you to contact us to challenge a mistake. We may end the service with appropriate notice, subject to applicable law. Clauses that reasonably need to continue, including accrued rights, permitted retention and liability provisions, survive termination.
8. Liability and your consumer rights
We will provide the service with reasonable care and skill as required by applicable law. AI output is informational and may be wrong; we cannot guarantee that it meets every purpose you have in mind.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any liability or consumer right that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. Your statutory rights, including mandatory rights in your place of residence, remain unaffected.
Subject to those protections, we are not responsible for losses caused by your unlawful use, reliance on unverified AI content contrary to clear warnings, or third-party services outside our reasonable control. For consumers, we remain responsible for losses that applicable law makes our responsibility; these terms do not impose a blanket financial cap on your statutory remedies. If you use the service for business purposes, we exclude indirect or consequential business loss to the extent permitted by law.
9. Changes, applicable law and contact
We may update these terms to reflect changes in the service, providers or law. The date above identifies this version. We will provide reasonable advance notice of material changes where practical, except where urgent security or legal changes are needed. New paid services require separate acceptance of the applicable payment terms. You may stop using the service if you disagree with a change.
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, except where the mandatory laws of your usual place of residence give you additional protections. Consumers may bring proceedings in the courts available to them under applicable consumer law, including their home courts where that right applies. Nothing requires you to give up mandatory legal protections or submit to compulsory arbitration.
For support, rights requests, complaints or questions about these terms, contact ggillon@gmail.com. These terms and the Privacy Policy are public information and do not replace independent legal advice about your own use of the service.
